St Kilda from the north west

I drew this pastel in 1999 when I had been in command of the Fishery Protection Vessel "Vigilant" for about eight years. This was a part of the sea frequently patrolled by us and I was many times seduced by these beautiful and mysterious islands to anchor for a "night off" in Village Bay on Hirta. There is a flock of Solan Geese or Gannets in the picture making their way back to land after a day at sea fishing. The picture may be viewed in the offices of Macdonald Henderson, Solicitors, Glasgow. Pastel on paper. Price on application. Also available in limited edition prints up to picture size. 600mm x 900mm approx
