Zulus shortening Sail in the Pentland Firth

This picture depicts two "Zulu" type fishing vessels of around the end of the nineteeenth centuryapproaching the Pentland Firth as the tide turns, creating a "wind against tide" effect. The painting was purchased by one of the most successful skippers in the Scottish pelagic fleet whose forebears, like my own, fished in vessels like these. It is available in limited edition prints in any size up to picture size. 490mm x 730mm
