Two Fifies in Stornoway Bight

This painting was inspired by a old sepia photograph of two "Fifie" type fishing vessels about to enter Stornoway Harbour in the late 1800's or early 1900's.One of the boats may actually be a "Scaffie". Although the photograph was a monochrome, I knew the weather conditions very well having entered that harbour countless times myself in similar conditions. The boats are just coming under the lee.
